great kunwar satyam ji... i m surprised from whre u got this song, nice effort i think you r working hard, these songs are sung by women on marriage occassions. but its very bad that this type of folk culture seems to b lost now. when i look at our khadar culture i find there are a lot of things we are losing with new generations. i don't think the new generation getting education in modern schools would be able to preserve these elements, beacuse they are not aware of importance of this, like any other part or community of country khadar is not untouched of shadow of western culture. in fact we are aping west without considering the other aspects of their lifestyle.

when i think i find the education system is totally responsible for these impacts. i appreciate pakistan in this regard, govt of pak focuses on cultural and religious issues and great efforts have made by them to defend themselves from western culture, ISLAMIYAT is an compulsory subject during primary education. but we are never teached about our vedic culture appropriately.

Its true that a convent educated person feel shame in listening and singing folk music.we seriously need to make aware our new and upcoming generation that how these traditions distinguish us from others. now a days punjabi culture in limelight in bollywood,, just because they are little aware about their culture and now they are understanding importance of this. and i believe our khadar/gujjar culture is much more prosperous than any other one. i can easily relate our traditions with gujjars of rajasthan. u told about SANJHI, sanjhi is made in rajasthan and even in J&K by van gujjars. i din't see a community ever like us having approximately same culture from gujarat to kashmir.
